Founder's Profile
Susterra, Inc. was founded by Micah Perlin in the spring of 2004 with a vision of transforming organizations with low-cost information management solutions.
Micah's interest in management and collaboration technology grew from his experience as an project manager working on energy efficiency and environmental projects along both sides of the US and Mexico border.
It was in this capacity that he came to appreciate the critical role that systems play in determining the success of an organization.
Aware that many community organizations and nonprofits lack the budget and technical know-how to successfully implement mainstream enterprise systems, Micah identified a suite of low-cost, flexible data management tools that are easily customized to meet the needs of each organization. He also developed a successful, affordable method for providing support and training to ensure the long-term viability of his solutions.
In addition to his technical expertise, Micah has almost a decade of organizational and strategic management experience, and extensive knowledge of international development and sustainability issues.
Micah has a B.A. in Political Economy from U.C. Berkeley and a Masters in Public and International Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University.
